When I bought my first used car outside the college, no more than 3 months before I regret my purchase decision. I know I want a 4×4 medium -sized truck but I don’t know what to look for. I finally paid almost $ 10,000 for a car that blew the transmission 5 months after I bought it. Fortunately I have bought an extended warranty on the car and therefore do not have to get out of the pocket at a full cost of the rebuilt transmission. But the car never drove the same thing and finally died at me 3 years later. Here are 4 tips that you can use to avoid the same fate that I have when I bought my first used car.

See the history of the car using the vehicle’s vin number. The history of the car is one of the most important things to see when you buy a car. By using a car history, you can find some things about vehicles before you spend thousands of dollars for it. Historical reports will give you valuable information such as whether the car has flood damage, whether the odometer has been rolled back, whether it has the title of waste and even the results of state emission inspections. Everything is a very important factor that you can use to help you determine whether you want to buy a car.
Look at the heater and air conditioner. Let the car run for a few minutes and then turn on the air conditioner. AC must be cold soon when you turn it on. If you do not feel the cold air after a few minutes then the possibility of the AC does not work and it can be a big warning sign. AC can be very expensive to be improved so be careful. Turn on the heater to see if T works at all speeds when you turn it on. The heater can also be very expensive to improve so you want to make sure that it works well.
Look at the engine. The car engine must change the motor oil regularly to run properly. If a car does not get oil scheduled regularly, the motor can die in a hurry. After running the car, let the car unemployed for a few minutes and then check to see if the engine has a smell. Also use diping sticks to check whether the motor oil is dirty and like mud or if clean. This is an important step and should not be ignored.
